Dumpster, junk removal, or free bulk pickup? Here is the honest answer.
There are four ways to get debris off a property in the Charleston area. Each one is built for a different job, and the cheapest option is not always the right one. Here is how they actually compare, including the times you should not call us.

One note on the pricing row. We publish our numbers because we can. Providers who price by the call or quote on arrival are not necessarily charging more, but you will not know the number until later in the process.
Why free bulk pickup often is not the answer
Bulk pickup rules change from one town to the next around here, and the gap is almost always the same: contractor and renovation debris. Check your own zone before you pay anyone, including us.
Mount Pleasant
Weekly bulk pickup for standard household items. Genuinely hard to beat if you are putting out a couch.
Summerville
Bulk collection runs on a monthly cycle, so timing matters if you need it gone this week.
Unincorporated Charleston County
No municipal bulk service at all. This is where the free option simply does not exist.
Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island
Contractor generated materials are excluded, which covers most renovation debris.
The short version: if it is a couch, check your town first. If it is drywall, cabinets, flooring, or fencing, that is usually where free service stops.
When you should not call us
Call someone else
If you need a container sitting on the property for a week while a renovation runs, rent a roll off. If you have standard household furniture at the curb in Mount Pleasant, use the free weekly pickup. If your items are upstairs or inside and you need them carried out, we are not the right fit, because all of our service is ground level only.
Call us
The debris already exists and you want it gone. The driveway is concrete or pavers and you do not want steel set down on it. The material is renovation or contractor debris that your town will not take. You are a property manager or HOA who needs a response measured in hours, not weeks. Or you want to know the price before anyone shows up.
What we charge, in public
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Junk removal | $225 minimum, which covers up to 2 cubic yards. 3 yards runs $270. 4 yards runs $340. 5 yards and above runs $85 per cubic yard. |
| Curb Day | $75 per cubic yard on your neighborhood's scheduled date, with no minimum on your own booking. See how Curb Day works. |
| Dump trailer rental | $425 for 24 hours, including 1 ton of disposal. 16 feet by 7 feet with 44 inch sides, which works out to 15.2 cubic yards. |
All service is ground level only. We do not carry items down stairs or out of interiors.
Comparison questions
Is a dump trailer or a roll off dumpster better for a driveway?
A dump trailer rolls in and out on pneumatic rubber tires. A roll off container is slid off the truck and set down directly on the surface. If your driveway is concrete, pavers, or newer asphalt, the trailer is the lower risk option. If the container is going on gravel or dirt and needs to sit for a week, the roll off makes more sense.
Does free bulk pickup cover renovation debris?
Usually not. Household furniture is generally fine. Drywall, cabinets, flooring, fencing, and other contractor generated materials typically fall outside free municipal collection, and the specific rules depend on which town or unincorporated area you are in.
How big is 15.2 cubic yards, really?
Our trailer measures 16 feet long by 7 feet wide with 44 inch sides. That is comparable to a 15 yard roll off dumpster. As a rough gauge, one cubic yard is about one washing machine, and a full pickup bed is about 2 cubic yards.
Why do you publish your prices when most companies do not?
Because our pricing does not change based on who is standing in the driveway. The rate card is the rate card. That also means you can compare us against other options before you ever call, which is the point of this page.
